Book of Eli

wrong!!!

It's not a Remington 870.

In the movie Training Day, Alonzo uses Jake's department issued Mossberg 500 "Cruiser", "The #####" to kill Roger when Jake refuses.

This one:

The book of Eli shotgun in the photos above sure looks like a 12.5" barrel to me. A 14" barrel is a bit longer than that yet. The trigger group in the photo above described as David_K's gun (bottom one) is not a Remington trigger group either. :)

nope..... sorry you are wrong ...about the gun and about which scene...the one that I am talking about is at the end in his(Denzel's) baby mama's apartment shootout betweeen him and ethan hawke!!!! wrongo!!!!

The shotgun Danzel refers to as a "The #####" is a Mossberg 500 in this scene. The one Jake is holding in this photo.

The apartment scene in the following photo, like I said earlier, IS indeed a Remington 870 12.5".

The homies in their apartment in the bathtub scene used a Stoeger sawed off side by side.

i think denzel gives somebody here hardons...
and yeah its a 14 inch barrel as seen is first post pictures the one from the movie along with the one the origional poster both seemingly the same size and as the op has said a 14 inch barrel from an hp9,(remington clone)

the quote" I am surgical with this ##### " is from the shootout in the baby mama's apartment...WHEN he has the REMINGTON!!!!! not to say thet he does not also call the crappy mossberg a ##### as well!!!!

However Alonzo does use a REM 870 in his girlfriend's apartment to shoot at Jake. That one had a heat shield.

Think that the eli shotgun is about half way between the 12.5 and 14 inch barrels (say a 13.25?)... ...the one the floor looks like the 14 incher.

No offense, but I was just trying to say that that type of gun is not of interest to me. Not the short stock, or short barrel, just the way it was done. I really don't like anything the looks hacked together. As an example, lots of people like those Rat Rods type of hot rod cars, that look all rusted (even though they may not be), beaten up, and have old street signs for the floor boards. The tape and stuff on the cut stock is just not my flavour. A nice wooden pistol grip and a nice short barrel would be totally cool to me, perhaps not everyone. Just my tastes, which is what makes this forum great, we can see totally different guns, some strikes ones fancy and some do not.

I would prefer a nice wood grip, but seeing as all I have are synthetic and I thought it looked cool on this shotgun which was very much like a beater I had sitting around I figured I could try it out. I wish I could shorten the grip more to make it closer but I figure the length it is is close enough to 26"(it's about 27").

Is this more to your liking?
She measures out at 26.25" OAL.
Not wood but a little more "factory looking".
Old scattergun Technologies had a wooden version of this Speedfeed pistol grip but I haven't seen one for over 10 years.

Ignore the dog hair.....

call me crazybut the one above looks to be just a hair over 26" judging by the tape measure. Maybe 26.25 not 27.25.

Your crazy. You are also right.

Typo on my part due to sticky typing finger and head up my arse.:)
