I have the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" by Supica and Nahas. I like it a lot for researching S & W models and details.

Are there any similar books anyone can recommend for Colt's.
I am interested in the revolvers and pistols mainly.

Thanks for your help in advance and thanks to everyone who helped out this newbie on my previous posts.

Merry Christmas,

I ordered Rick Sapp (Author) "Standard Catalog Of Colt Firearms" from Amazon about 2 months ago. Apparently it's release has been delayed, last I heard it was to be out on Dec 5 but have not received any notification from Amazon yet. I assume the format will be the same as the S & W one.
You could also open up the purse strings and get (that is if you can find it) "The Book Of Colt Firearms" by Sutherland and Wilson...paid $450 for mine with no regrets.

This covers more than just Colts but it's a fantastic reference book that you can get online from Indigo or Amazon. Indigo just seems to have older editions (and none in the stores just online) but Amazon lists a 2006 edition.

The Complete Encyclopedia of Pistols and Revolvers (Hardcover)
by A. E. Hartink (Author)

Colt Books

There is a big book on Colt Single Actions at Coles book store in Moncton for $24.95 or something like that. Chapters has the book, Ruger and his Guns, and Winchester Shotguns at the same price.

Check out the books on Abrbooks.com for comparable book pricing.
