books for the C&B newbie?

I'm sorry if this info is provided in another thread, but I am looking for a couple of good books as introductions to C&B black powder shooting in preparation for receiving my Pietta 1860 repro.

Can anyone recommend any good books as primers (parden the pun)?

Your in luck, here's a great little book - "Percussion Pistols and Revolvers: History, Performance and Practical Use" - written by Johnny Bates and Mike Cumpston. I found it on Amazom.com and downloaded it as an e-book for about 7 bucks. All you need is Adobe 7, and it's cheaper than ordering the actual book and having to wait for two weeks. Check it out.
