"Bootstrap" Prairie M-14 Clinics? UPDATED

Yep, Pop and I will get together real soon here to start hacking out details - possibly by the end of the weekend. Sounds like there are several 'out of towners' willing to come, which is great but it does present a bit of a problem if any of those guys are set on bedding and only able to make one weekend. My suggestion would be to bring one to bed and one to shoot. If you can't do that, then we'll bed someone's extra rifle and you guys can take notes and pictures and take the knowledge home with you to do the exercise yourselves.

Pop, I'll give you a call later today and maybe we can meet Sunday night or something over coffee & get this thing rolling.

Thanks yomomma, that's a great incentive

I'm planning on handing them out first to people that bring critical tools and gear to share, then in order of signup for the folks that show up :)

Pop as we talked about on Sunday, I am in for the Sunday. I have the basic tools. C clamp vise grips made into castle nut pliers, allen keys, rubber, and plastic mallets, heavy steel bar chisel for knocking of flash hiders, and probably some other stuff i cannot think of at this time I can throw in for the use of the clinic.Looking forward to it!

Excellent, I think it's going to be a blast

Looks like it's going to be fantastic weather, I can practically hear the gongs ringing already. We've still got room for stragglers to sign up, so come on out and tune up your battle rifle

I am stoked that you guys are making this happen especially for the noobs in SK region. Remember that SK folks are some of the most resourceful people in Canada. I learned this from watching the Budweiser commercials about hockey stars from SK and ice sculptures. LOL

Make this event happen #####ez! so pleased to see this!!

Cheers, Barney

That was easily the best weekend I've had in a good while, here's a few pics of (some of) the fun:

The view of the firing point from "basecamp"

And this was "basecamp" courtesy of notsorichguy - we were really roughing it during coffee breaks!

There wasn't a whole lot of tuning to be done, most of the rifles were either already pretty well tuned or were Springfields

Though once in a while even Springfield puts out a shop-class special

Rooster really has a great setup, most of those white smudges are gongs

Less time spent tuning meant a lot more of this got to happen

I love that pic!

It's funny..... But I never took a single pic all weekend! Too busy shooting, chatting and..... "Rehydrating", I guess.
