Borrowing a firearm

Quick question,
Is it possible for me to borrow a few of my father's handguns to take to the range? I am fully licenced (PAL, RPAL). He says its ok so long as I have all his registration.

Can I get some confirmation on this?

Unless you have an ATT it's a no go. If you do have the ATT there was a thread where someone got a Borrowing ATT from the CFO so they could take someone else's restricteds out. In the end the best bet is to call the CFO and ask.

Oh yea forgot to mention I do have a long term ATT since I have my own restricteds.

get an ATT for HIS guns and a photocopy of his papers then your good to go

So do I or do I not need an ATT for his guns. If I do, the law is gonna ruin my afternoon.

Thread resurrection but... I got around to calling the office today.
I do not need to apply for another ATT for his guns. It is fine to borrow his restricted so long as I have his certificates.

Just goes to show how confusing all these damned rules are.
IMO, a restricted license SHOULD be all you need. ATT's are a big PIA. For everyone concerned.
