I'm not sure if this is normal - I don't shoot my shotguns much.
I saw a video yesterday of a person showing his trigger would release with the pump not fully forward. So, I decided to try it with my:
Weatherby PA-08 12ga pump
Uzkon AS40 12ga pump
*Both* will have the trigger click without the pump (and thus bolt) fully forward.
BUT... I put my finger into the ejection port on the face of the bolt where the firing pin hole is, pulled the trigger, and I DID NOT feel the firing pin against my finger at all. Which would lead me to believe it wouldn't fire an actual shell.
Go grab your pump shotgun(s), move the bolt foward but before it gets all the way to the chamber, try pulling the trigger. Does it go click?
Is this normal?
