Bottom metal for Savaage Mark 11

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a .22 and I've been looking at the Savage Mark 11 bolt action. I haven't decided on a specific configuration yet, because before I go any further, I want to find a dealer in Canada that sells the bottom metal base plate and trigger for these rifles. I found a source for them in the US, but it doesn't look like they ship to Canada. Nothing new there. In the past I made a decision that I would limit myself to firearms that have readily available aftermarket parts in Canada, or US dealers that will ship to Canada. In essence that means I won't purchase a savage Mark 11 if I can't find the parts I want. It's too bad, for me, cause I really like the rifle.

If there is anyone out there that can help me I would appreciate it, as I would like to give a mark 11 a good home.

I have ordered directly from savage and they shipped FAST - also some manufactures who make stocks i.e. boyds sells the base plate and trigger housing as well - and they too ship to canada without problems.
you'll have no problems Mike getting these parts - so go ahead and get one of the best rifles around
