I’m looking at replacing the bottom metal on my target rifle. The rifle is a Savage Model 12 LRP in 6.5CM. It’s set up from the factory with an HS Precision target stock and the typical metal detachable mag that a lot of model 10 and 11 rifles come with.
I’ve seen a model 10, set up with bottom metal from Accurate Mag. It looked well built, but the rifle was a .308, so I’m concerned about max OAL that the mag will allow. This is apparently a drop-in kit and should allow me to have a larger detachable box mag, without the need for inletting or excessive cost (the 10 round mag kit is only $170).
I’m leaning toward these, but would appreciate any reviews people might have on them. I’m also open to other options, if people have recommendations.
