Bought 2 Ruski SKS's - info wanted

This is my predicament. I have two cases of ammo, but I dont want to run a few thousand rounds through either of them seeing as they're in such great shape.

I think a 3rd SKS is within reason - my gf is going to kill me!

Amazing. Thanks for the input. 3rd rifle it is. I was considering a short barrel 12 guage shotty but now I know what I need to do. Hahaha

Kind of dull looking. They have a faint yellowy coating almost and they're a nickel colour sort of.

These are the first two rifles I've ever bought, and I don't have the inclination to shoot either of them haha. Damn it, I must wait.

I bought them from LeBaron at their Mississauga location. I'm going to take a pic of what I thought is the refurb markings now... 1 minute...

those are not refurb markings , they are inspection markings .

the bottom rifle stock seems abit lighter in color than normal .

did you pay $185 each for them?

I paid $185 plus tax each.

As I mentioned they were purchased from LeBaron in Mississauga. They got 25 in on Thursday the 23 of Sept, by Friday the 24th they had sold 22 of 25. They went FAST.

Yah, Buy a Norc for blasting and keep those. Not sure how much more in value they would increase, but increase they should, over time.

Shoot them once in a while, but use non corrosive ammo, like PRVI Partizan or American Eagle.

The pinning on the rifles was done very well! It looks like it could have almost been there since new. The serial numbers were left unharmed in the process so that in itself is a big plus.

It was interesting that the hardwood stock SKS's were in beautiful shape as evidenced above, but all of the laminate stock versions were noticably rougher. All variations though had very clean bores, and strong rifling through them.

If you're in the market for an SKS I strongly advise you to get to the store the day the shipment arrives. I called day of and asked them to set one aside for me. The one the randomly set aside was the Izzy. Needless to say i was delighted.

I actually went back a week later and bought a laminate stock version with a clean barrel to bubba with a tapco stalk, 5/20 mag, and receiver mounted scope. I intend on blasting a few thousand rounds off with this sucker. What I'm sure was a hard life for my laminate version just got a helluva lot harder hahahaha

The Tula is fairly common, but the Izzy is relatively rare. I would sandbag her and play with the Tula, or stash them both and get yourself a "rough and ready" ChiCom SKS.
