So I bought a canuck sentry. Great idea for a cheap gun you can use and abuse.
Haven't even shot it yet.
Unboxed it and spent the last 3 hours trying to get the barrel off. The mag extension tube is dented on the bottom.
I was warned but bought it anyways. At least I'm only out $400.

I'm sure it will get sorted out.
If cant get it sorted out it can be an easy fix based on where the dent is. All I have to do is cut the mag tube above the threads (sentry), file, smooth, and buy a mag cap for it.
The issue is I can't find replacement mag caps for a Canuck. Does anyone know if other shotgun models mag caps will fit the threads?
Like 870, 500, or Weatherby?

Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on your point of view.
All I can say is its not very impressive when something dents extremely easily. I can assume its just a lemon

Should have got a Churchill, myself and two friends all own one... They run perfectly... We TRIED to break his by extreme use and no dice.

Honestly though, if it is dented... Send it back... get them to send a new one that works.
Just "assuming its a lemon" is silly.

How do you know it dented extremely easily? Did you witness the incident that dented it?
Ive seen Canadapost snap rifles in half that are by no means cheap or lemons…

Canucks are not POS. Mine is used hard and works well! It is also backed by O'Dell Engineering, which are stellar compared to other brands' warranty centres that I have dealt with.

If you buy a new car and the dealership dents it while they’re getting it ready would you take to the internet saying that car is a pos?

“Great idea for a cheap gun you can use and abuse.” Maybe not, eh. Sounds like someone slightly “abused” it before it arrived on your doorstep and it doesn’t work so well. I’m always amazed by those who go for the cheapest price and then complain about quality. In this case I’m including QC.
