Well today I just picked up my Colt Gold Cup Trophy 1911 22lr made by Carl Walther Germany. Was going to go with a GSG 1911 but seen this and had to have it. Read some reviews on it and were very positive. Here are some quick pics I took.

Some Details about the pistol.

Yes...a report is a must...range and a detailed strip.

Curious about what I've seen on youtube about it being a lame convert from their CO2 lineup.

Would like to know about the materials and fit and finish.

Congrats...I've been waiting for someone to try this fantastic looking piece.

Sweet pistol, congrats! :)

I've seen the Government and Gold Cup at various dealers in Canada, but has anyone seen the Rail Gun version here?

Does it comes with stainless too???....looks good...the mag and the barrel look very much like the Walther P22....wondering If it will take the Walther P22 mags.
Cheers

No stainless that I know of, they are a new release.

Don't think about the p22 mags will work but I know it has a threaded barrel from the p22 so it does take a silencer or a fake one in Canada for that matter.

Here is a breakdown video from the US importer h ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3_Y-KSy5Wg (sorry don't know how to embed)

They're a very nice looking gun and I would would love to match one up with my Colt 45 Cold Cup.
Would someone explain why the same gun is 30+% cheaper in the USA ??

Nice looking "Colt".

I'd like to put it next to a GSG 1911 .22lr & see how close they are in terms of manufacturing.

From what I've seen in pics, I wonder if maybe "Walther" hasn't out-sourced some of the production of this "Colt" 1911 .22 lr to another German company, though..... ;)

Nope...painted alloy frame and steel slide only.

Awesome pics and looks really nice and I was considering getting one until I seen this (see link). Bought a S&W 22a-1 instead. The other one I was looking at was the GSG/Sig sauer 1911 .22LR. Might still get one when all the range reports come out. For me it's too new right now.

New ? Nope,born here 65 years ago.
Sorry,I didn't mean to turn this into a rant.(Hadn't had my coffee yet.)

This is one lovely 22 and I hope to hear more reports on it so I can decide whether I should stimulate our economy further.

I love the model 1911 stainless look on the Colt and the threaded barrel from the P22:D
Cheers
