Bought a Remington 597 and want to mount a bipod need help though

So I have always been a shooting of targets fan. Last weekend a friend of mine brought out a Remington 597 .22 rifle. And I could not believe how accurate that thing was. Well needless to say, I went out the next day and bought one myself .

My question to all you experts is, now I want to mount a Bipod (harris) to this. But it does not have the nub on the stock. How would i go about adding one?

Buy a screw in sling stud. You should be good to go after that. Your local gun store should carry them. This site will give you an idea of what you are looking for

If you're shooting off a bench get yourself a set of shooting bags. They'll be more accurate then a bi-pod.

In the fore stock there is a reinforced nub for the swivel to screw into

Yea been looking at the Studs, At least the stock comes off this nicely.... thanks for all the advise.....
