My son just got his PAL.

My wife won't mind going to the range. :bigHug:

My daughter said, at last, that she's interested ("Dad, I'll be living alone...")

So, what's a dad to do? I bought a 22/45.

I'll give a report soon after the CFO decides I may take possession of it.

I love my 22/45 except when it comes time to do a thorough cleaning on it. Bit of a pain in the butt to take it apart and put it back together...but it shoots very well. Congrats! :)

4.5" barrel

Fibre optics--with a choice of colours.:):D

Absolutely new in box.

It really looks good--like jewellery-- for the wife and daughter, you know.

Yes, takedown looks like kidney surgery. But I thought I wouldn't be able to do a 1911. I can do that with my eyes closed now.

So, the Ruger shouldn't take me more than fifteen months to figure out, judging from the first couple of reads of the on-line instructions.

Any range-proven ammo recommendations?

My 22/45 hasn't tried any ammo that it doesn't like yet. Thousands of rounds and not a single complaint. Make sure you give it a good thorough cleaning before you first use it.
