Anything I need to know about this thing besides pointing and shooting? It is the first SA pistol as well as the first "non-euro pellet" ie .45 I will own.

Congratulations! Nice guns, i have one, bought brand new last week, hope to try it this week-end. Also in the taurus family, i have a raging bull 44 mag, amazing, and fun too shoots!!! Enjoy your new acquisition.

Lubrication

Compared to some other designs, the 1911 runs best if kept very, very, well-lubricated.

This is what Larry Vickers has to say about it:

I saw you had one for sale lol. But at 850 was a bit too rich for my blood lol. Plus my SIG is stainless so I felt it was my duty to get this one blued, then I found some grips for it at 2 am last night so now its gonna look like this:

I sold mine last night... :( But I have 2 guns on ordered - G29SF and Norinco M4 so it's OK I guess

Very cool looking. I like the look of the blue (or is it Parkerized) and great looking grips. I am the buyer of IM-Lugger's SS version and quite excited. As a new Taurus 1911 owner, I am also interested in the comments/ response on this thread. -- thanks guys/gals?

Perhaps IM Lugger can post a couple of his photos to show the one purchased also.
