Bought me a Antique 38RF (pics)

This is a sweet little gun!
a Antique Hopkins and allen 38 RF i just bought.
Its a XL #4 NY model 1871 patent date very low ser # less than 900
It has very nice ivory grips and about 80% orignal nickle.
I happen to have about 40 Rds of old BP 38 RF ammo.

Do they make them off set 38 Cases for the 38 RF the way they do for the 41?
I guess i could make some, be easyer than makeing 30 RF.

Nice piece! Offset cases are made of .32, .38, .41, .44, .56.

Cute, what is the weight of the bullet and MV?...probably an insurance policy gun for card players then...?

Rocky Mountain Cartridges might be able to make you up a batch of offset cases to your spec. They are on the web and work out of Cody, Wyoming. I bought some .45-60 brass off them and it was well done.

Well theres one on 1898 AND B 4 its $895 US and not as nice as mine well the grips are not as nice!
go take a look!
it dont say if its 38 RF tho! i think it is tho.
Them bone grips sure look nice eh!

Its got a trigger its called a spur trigger and is hard to see but if ya look close you will see it.
Light presure on that spur and BOOOM

I have some BP 38 RF ammo and it goes off with a hell of a blast and huge cloud of chokeing smoke.
It scares the crap outa people HaHaHa
