Bought my first AR - NEA in 7.62x39

Best 4 rounds ever.
Sorry.
That's a bummer man, I had several hundred through an NEA 7.62 upper without failure.
On the plus side, those blemishes really sucked so hopefully you can cure 2 birds with 1 stone here.
I hope you bought from Canam, they are good with returns.

My best advice to you is to send that POS of a rifle back to the dealer and get your money back or trade it with another brand. Do we seriously want a a serious injury or death to stop us from buying that POS?

The upper looked mismatched from lower, was all dinged up, and now broken.
Was this a new or used purchase?

If your set on this x39 in a modern platform buy a CMMG mutant or better yet a non restricted XCR . NEAs are dangerous. h Norinco makes a better AR . I have seen countless pics over the years of broken NEA bolts ect. never have i seen a broken norinco AR bolt lol.

Taking another look at your video, that's a gen 1 bolt - new ones are made with nickel boron. Kind of explains the condition and color match of your rail. Looks like a hodge-podge of various parts.

Should look like this

And if you're getting a replacement I would grab a windham.
