Bought my first handgun!

I love to shoot! I enjoy the hell out of heading to my local range every Friday and blasting away with my rifles for 2 or 3 hours. Recently I attended an open house pistol shoot and knew I had to have one. I decided to go with a .22 to start with and I liked the feeling of the GSG 1911 I tried out so that's what I went with. I looked around on here and YouTube etc... and couldn't find anything really negative about them. I called my local gun dealer, waited an infuriating 2 weeks for the transfer to be approved but now I call one my own! Hopefully the rest of the administrative stuff comes quick and I can get to the range with my newest gun soon because I just have to try this one out! If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them otherwise I'll keep on enjoying the threads you all post. Thanks for reading.
 
Welcome. I have the GSG 1911 and really enjoy shooting it. It helps me to get rid of my bad habits.
It's also a cheap way to practice and the skills and muscle memory is transferable to the 9mm and .45 guns.
 
Congrats! First one of many hopefully. Beware, they are like potato chips. Almost impossible to just have one. Lol.
