bought my girlfriend a 10/22 today

So today i was over there at Cabelas with my girlfriend and she absolutely fell in love with the 10/22. So I ended up buying it for her. I just got the standard one for her. My question is what are the easiest and best modifications i can make on this rifle.

There are tones of easy mods to do. I'd wait and see what she likes and dislikes about it after she shoots it a few times. I personally like the auto bolt release mod. Glad to hear you and your girlfriend share intrest in the sport.

Change the stock to a Thumbhole or put a Dragunov stock . My wife took mine over and now she said its hers and wants me to dye a Thumbhole stock pink!
 
Why didn't you buy her one that does not need all the mods to make it shoot. I found that the ladies want a gun that they can operate like a bolt. A "load and go" gun are not as interactive. And if it fails to operate, it ends in a trip home. All the bolts I shoot never have ended with a trip home. But your choice.....
 
Personaly I would buy a kit of spring to lighten the triger, it's really cheap and mine reduce my triger pull of at least 30%
 
Bought the wife the 597 about a year ago and then she laid her eyes on the ruger and had to have it. She loves her range time:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

I personally don't have a problem with the colour, and all the girls I know like it, so it gets a vote from me.

1duckslayer - that laminate is really pretty!! Did you buy it that way or dye a regular laminate stock?
 
Enough about the rifle and stock colors . . . send picture of girlfriend . . . I can't believe someone did not get this site to that point yet.

Looking for girlfriend with boat, truck, and trailer - must be willing and able to clean and cook fish. Send picture of truck, trailer and boat.
