Bought myself a .260Rem!!

Anyone know the weight difference with the Ti stock and the Laminate factory stock? I might have a line on a choice of either for this gun now.....

I dont think the difference in weight will make much difference in recoil for my wife, just curious for my own curiousity. Would the laminate weigh a lb more?

Guess we'll see what happens...things seem to be working out quickly...now the choice on laminate or Ti.....or Bansner....hah

Ti should come in at around 23-25 oz, and the LSS laminate will be around 36-38 oz

either gun should get a R3 or Decelerator pad installed...

Yep...exactly what I was thinking.....decelerator would be installed right away for her.....just makes things so much nicer. She handled the light .284Win quite well, so I'm thinking the .260 will be really fun for her....

you should start her off with some lighter loads, Hodgdon has a bunch on their site

something like a 85-100 grain bullet over a 80-90% charge of H4895, build up her confidence, and then get her to try some hunting loads. if she's not going to be shooting very far, inside 250 yards, you dont need to push the velocity envelope.

a 120 TSX @ 2700 fps would do quite a bit of killin'...

Found myself a Rem Ti stock on Ebay and picked it up for a good deal ($160 shipped) so cant wait to get it and install it. Anyone have any good suggestions for finding a mag box and an ADL trigger guard? I'm thinking Williams for trigger-guard? Any other suggestions?

Just picked up a short action Ti stock, and it weighs 22oz. I am dropping a Rem 700 Mtn Rifle SS in 7-08 (having it punched out to 7-08AI), mounting a 3-9x40 VXII in Talley LW's for my truck gun..

You'll like the stock... while certainly not a wildcat, it is a good stock for the price.

yes, they are pretty nice stocks

the one that was on my 30-06 Ti weighed 24 ounce (long action) and it now resides on a 338 win mag m700SS

Yep excited to get it and put it all together. The Ti stocks seem pretty nice from what I've seen. My new Wildcat I've got my 30-06 Mtn rifle in is amazing......like it as much or more than my Bansner I had.....

Think I'll get the Ti painted after the season, but we'll see how she shoots first....
