Bow hunters looking down on gun owners???

Are you a northern Ontario hunter of Spruce Grouse? I'll give you that, or the ultimate challenge down here: bow hunting for turkey.

Try some Ruffed Grouse with the bow. Have you ever seen how these guys twist and turn when they flush? No "fool's hen" are these.
 
I usually look up to bowhunters who are looking down on me. They seem to be in tree stands a lot.:)

I think they are trying to compensate for having short barrels.:D

Actually, who gives a flying rat's ass?? This whole thread bashes bowhunters.:confused:

can't we all just get a long.........bow?.:D
 
Honestly, this comes up again and again in our choice of sports... and like Jay said it happens amongst all groups.

In my opinion, we are too few as far as numbers go to divide amongst ourselves. A hunter is a hunter, a shooter is a shooter, and fisherman is a fisherman, regarless of the equipment we choose to use.

United we stand, divided we fall.

I would have shot a turkey allready, but the owner of one of the properties I hunt wouldnt let me :D:D:D:D:D:D He just wanted to do it first the bastard :D:mad:
As for grouse,
You have to be quiet walking, and shoot them on the ground... Flush em, and your SOL.
trust me, works great. BTW, Ruffed grouse is what I have shot allmost exclusively with the crossbow. If you stop walking when you see one, chances are, you'll get a half dozen shots when it walks away from you.
 
I like using everything... Bow, arrow, crossbow, rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader, spear (yeah #####, I actually did it :)) slingshot, pelletgun, and my bare hands.
I dare anyone say anything bad about slingshot hunters. :)

Im with the rest here, you'll find a-holes in all walks of lives. I used to like to argue with these type of people but found it was a real waste of energy and time.
I bow hunt and the guys I know who bow hunt are pretty cool. There's guys here on CGN that are bigger clowns.

Shooting non-flushed game is not cool from a shotgunner point of view, but bow is cool with me.

PS crossbow is not a REAL bow ;) (just ribbin you)

Screw that, I'd rather shoot a chicken on the ground, Im not too proud... besides, Im not a fan of lead flavoured breasts :D

I know, I know, I've heard it for a long time at 3D shoots, funny enough, most guys saying it couldnt beat me with either, and Im better with a bow than a crossbow. :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

I did go back to the darkside for this year. I just bought a bow off of Chola on here.
I need both again :cool:
 
Same guy that #####es about a gun, uses a compound and all it wonderful technology, and not a recurve...

As long as people OBEY laws, they are free to hunt the way they want

p.s. I hunt with rifle , bow, crossbows, pellet guns and even rocks, No I dont look down on myself!
