Need advice.

I have a Bushnell Trophy Xtreme rangefinder with ARC technology that I use for bowhunting.

Took it to the range yesterday, and practiced on 3D targets, it worked like a charm on all targets that were light coloured (white, beige, green, etc.) but stopped giving any readings on dark coloured targets like a black bear.

I want to upgrade to a better rangefinder that will work in all environments and need recommendations for a rangefinder that works on dark coloured objects and in low light conditions such as dawn or dusk or thick foliage.

My online research has yielded a lot of options so I have turned to this forum to ask for recommendations from members.

Not looking to break the bank $$$ so a reasonable price point would also be appreciated. Would consider buying a used high-end model as well.

Thanks!
Imran

Find used Leica crf’s, even older 1600’s are awesome. They are red led but work even on sunny days in snow for coyotes out to 600 which is worst conditions for rangefinder. But the size weight and everything else was my fav archery rangefinder, lanyard around neck and into a front chest pocket or just inside zipper of jacket. Different league of glass and performance than the budget brands.
