Box Magazine Pump action

Valtro PM-5. It comes with an A2-style buttstock and all the ones I've seen have ghost-ring sights as well. In all a sweet deal. Seem to be selling between $7-800

Yeah, the Valtro PM-5 is the way to go.
But if cash is burning your pocket, then the Knoxx is also a good option.

I thought of something, other than the forestock and the buttstock, are there any other major structural parts made of plastic(for example, the trigger guard)? Also, is it considered a normal non-restricted firearm? I would rather get the exact model I wanted than taking what some retailer happens to have on the shelf on (whatever) day. Does Valtro have authorized dealers in Canada? They must be getting them from somewhere.

The Knoxx Sidewinder was for the 500, not the 590 if memory serves...and it's no longer in production. Something about inferior quality parts from the supplier, but reading between the lines I sense lack of solid sales.

The PM5 fits the bill, but they're no longer being made AFAIK. I've also heard that spare magazines are very hard to find, and expensive.

I think Saiga made some box fed shotguns, but I there's something funny about them. They might be prohib due to their design/origin, or maybe they're just garbage, I cant remember.

saiga is the russian model. Not avail. 'cause it's an AK variant. I've seen some of those valtros with feeding problems. Very short barrel good for defense work but the ones I've seen have had problems knocking down steel plates (possibly bad shot choice). The one I saw working well was a blast to watch though.

I would choose the long bbl with the traditional stock, I saw one of the shorties yesterday on some cdn auction site, though. $75.00 for an extra mag, eh? pricey, although that's less than I have heard some people pay for an extra mag they had to get imported. Anyways I got a scoop on an 870 for cheap.
