Why so expensive? Can get on amazon for a quarter of that.. works just as good.
Trust me, this isn’t where you want save money. You can also pay a lot of money for crappy stuff.

Put a good kit together. Keep it on you as necessary. If you’ve got kids, get some kiddo specific stuff too.

My stuff is mostly government supplied but I supplement it with my own purchases. Also, take a course or two. I took a good one put on by a big municipal FD - they had a dummy that squirts fake blood while you try and find arteries to pack - messy but so worth it.

If you don’t know what’s good, and what’s garbage, ask an ambu operator, EMT, or the hose monkeys.

Everyone who is an outdoor enthusiast should be carrying at minimum this on their person/in vehicle close by when partaking in their sports.

I personally usually have my TQ attached to my sling on my rifle. Down near the butt of the rifle.

I heard about a local firefighter, he ended up cutting his arm, hitting an artery while parting out his deer. Solo hunting. Was able to get to his truck (30 ft away) and apply his TQ. Saved his life. His buddies went out the next day to finish attending to the animal.

Is it better to take one of those online stop the bleed courses or an in person one? I saw ctoms offers those equivalent courses.

please don't ever buy TQs from Amazon. I used to work there many years ago and the shelves were filled with North American Rescue copies from Xinjiang and they'll fail when you need them most.

I took one at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto about a decade ago, not sure if they still run them. Think it was every other Tuesday per month.

In Person hands down. If for whatever reason that’s not available to you Online is better than nothing. Every gun club should have these courses available for their membership (just like EESA).
I was able to purchase my CTOMS tourniquet from the ladies instructing.

Edit: the ladies were emergency professionals teaching the course.

I’d like to thank Bullseye for bringing these in for our community. These aren’t exactly fast moving products because of how little light is shed on the importance of owning such kits. If you can afford a firearm, you can afford to patch a hole one may create.

I carry a TQ for work and have been professionally trained in its use. Do not buy a Temu/Amazon TQ. Of all items to spend on for quality, this is one you want. I can't imagine a tourniquet failing when it was desperately needed, because someone wanted to save $80.

That is great. Shooters spend thousands on their sport or hobby but almost nothing on IFAKs.
