Anyone using one of the Boyd Evolution stocks on a 10/22 or 597? How do you like them,and what is the fit and finish like? Thanks,Mur
 
I have one on my Dlask, simply put, it's excellent. fit & finish is excellent. As a matter of fact, we just ordered 2 more for our next builds.
 
I have one on a 10/22. I really like it now. When I first got it the action fit a little loosely in the stock but it was nothing a little bedding didn't fix. I would have bedded it anyways.

For those close to the border, using a maildrop in the US saves you $20 on shipping.

I wonder if Boyd's is more behind on website updates than on stock production. The one that was back ordered yesterday afternoon shipped this morning!

I think that the red/black Applejack is the most striking color option... but if you are a hunter requiring some degree of camo... then try the Forest or Royal Jacaranda colors. You can also wait abit and get some of their limited proiduction colors that come out every few months, like yellow/black - Hornet or green/black
 
I wanted to get a new stock for my spousal unit's MKII, and we've looked at all the styles, and went went down to Cabelas to shoulder a few to see what she liked. Now I'm partial to the Evolution stock myself, and almost bought one for her for Christmas. But it turns out she's a traditionalist, and wants the Target Hunter. Go figure! So I just grabbed the one that was on the EE! Good deal!
 
I really liked my Evo on my 10/22, it was a little loose but easily resolved. It handled really nice, the only reason I got rid of it was because it was too nice lol. I didn't want to bang it up in the bush.
