Boyd Stock? Importing or local?

I’m interested in the costs associated with getting a Boyd’s Lightweight Thumbhole for my Tikka T3 7mm RM. obviously there’s going to be shipping costs and some kind of duty. Anyone ordered from them lately that could provide a ballpark cost? Looking at getting a Marlin 1895 45/70 and if the cost isn’t too high would like to customize it with one of their stocks as well. Is there Canadian or Albertan retailers that would have better deals? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Order direct, however it is a bit of a gamble on the duty, I think I have paid duty on about half the purchases.

Simply order direct.
Boyds does not give retailers any price discount/incentive to carry their products, unless they carry 50,000 + worth of their products or more.

The market in Canada normally does not justify that kind of expenditure for all but the biggest wholesale suppliers.

The way their website is set up, it is just easier to configure the stock you want and send it on the way.

I put a thumbhole on a hunting rifle once. The stock is gone to a new home and I still own the rifle. I'll never put one one hunting rifle again. To me, thumbhole is best suited for the bench. To each his own though.
