Boyd stocks with pillars

I see Boyd's is offering stocks with pillars as an option. Has anyone ordered one of these ?

Any reviews or oppinions as to the quality of the installation etc.. Is it worth the extra or should one just go with traditional bedding ?

laminates are strong and don't need pillars. if you want it won't hurt to add but i would just bed.

^^ I have to disagree with this....If used rough like slung on your back when riding fast and hard on a sled or quad the action screws take a tremendous beating. I've had laminate Boyds repeatedly come loose to the action...installed aluminum pillars... problem solved!

once bedded i have never had an issue with several boyds i have owned. that and torquing the screws. never had an issue with factory laminates either. maybe i'm lucky.
