Boyds axis stock problem.

I just got my Boyds thumbhole stock for my Axis 22-250. Put it together and the detachable magazine will not lock into place. It goes in far enough that the bolt will pick up a cartridge but the latch will not engage to hold it in. Anyone else had this trouble?

I too just received a classic stock for my 223 axis from boyds only problem is mine clicks in but now won't come out. I suspect we are both having the same issue maybe someone can shed some light on this

have you checked fitment of it, they say you might need to slightly modify them to make precise fit. I have no issues with mine.

Just remove the action and bottom metal and sand around where the mag compartment is... Sounds like the opening where the bottom metal may be too snug or the edge may be interfering with the mag....

I took my dremel and ground a little bit off of the top of the plastic insert that the magazine catches on. Problem solved.

Really like it, lightweight, solid and looks great. The two sling swivels is a nice touch. Mine is Applejack.

Ok spent the last two hours carefully sanding and working the magazine in and out about 50 times mine is working much better now. Heck yah
