First off I apologise if this has been asked before, I'm looking for info from and if anybody has ordered from Boyd's recently. I'm thinking on replacing the Tupperware stock on my bmag 17 wsm. I priced it out today, and with shipping and US to Cad conversion it will work to about $250 for the stock I want. Was just wondering if anybody has recently placed an order, and what you were dinged from customs. I have ordered a couple times quite a while ago and can't remember what or honestly even if I got nailed custom charges o not.

Over a year ago... if the stock was under $500 Boyd's had no problems exporting it... no extra fee from them... whether Canada Customs catches it or not and adds taxes and their exorbitant fee to collect the money is 50-50...

I just purchased a Boyd's Pro Varmint Stock and bottom metal for a Savage Mk II. Order was $159 plus $61 shipping. Went through customs with no problems or additional charges.

Same week I bought a Victor Company Titan 10/22 stock for $170 plus $46 shipping. Had to pay $35 customs fees when I picked it up at the post office. No idea why one got through without any charges and the other didn't.

Thanks guys. Kinda sounds like a crap shoot. Sometimes get dinged, sometimes don't. But for a extra $40 or so it's not enough to make me think twice about it.

Customs taxes are hit and miss I think it has to with officers discretion and port of entry. I live close to US border and have a port of entry I will not use because every time I use it they make me pay! Other port of entry all they say is alcohol or tobacco? No then have a nice day! Lol
