I happen to have a couple 77 mk 11 rifles you're giving me ideas here 'Boo. Did you happen to check how much more the Boyds stocks weighed compared to the factory Ruger synthetics?

I haven't weighed both but I would guess the Boyds is a pound or so heavier than the Canoe Paddle.
quick question, can any gunstore order these stocks? am i able to order directly from Boyds?($100 export rule apparently still in effect for them) and no email address on the website to reach them.
im planning a build on a remington 700 action and would love some direction for a thumb hole stock
thanks

The limit is $500 now... And yes, you can order direct from Boyd's... I have already placed two orders over $300 with no problem... There is an email address on the website and their phone number also... Use the Boyd's search engine to find your gun and then read the instructions on the page carefully to confirm dimensions. I have dozens of Boyd's stocks and have never been unhappy with their product, and the price is right also. Most of the complaints that I have heard regarding fit, were the result of the customer ordering the wrong stock... Can't blame Boyd's for stupidity.
Old pic but this Norc has one white tail notch. Love the Boyds stock!

I've been considering a stock for my Stevens .30-06. I wonder if anyone here can speak to my concerns. I shoulder left with RH rifle, after contacting Boyd's they do not offer and LH shooter RH action stock for a LA, center fed blind mag.
Has anyone who purchased a Boyd use this configuration in the Prairie Hunter style and does cheek piece extending from the comb give you any issues for shouldering properly, getting a good grip on it? Obviously using a right hand stock for my shooting preference would put the cheek piece extension towards the outside, just wondering if this will effect anything critical.
I was considering purchasing one and just sanding or filing the extended cheek piece has anyone done this?
