Boyds M14/M1A Laminate Stocks

I am thinking of picking up one of the Boyds' laminate stocks for my M14. Does anyone have one? Are you happy with it? Could you post a picture. I am not sure whether to get the "Pepper" or the "Nutmeg".

Not a laminate, but there walnut stock complete with handguard. I am pleased with it. Thought I would throw it in here just for comparison.

Here's mine--the fit's not quite perfect, though (I've modded it a bit since the pic was taken for a better fit). Other than that I really like it.

I have a Boyds stock, they take a little fitting and as much finishing as you have time for. No problem with the quality though!

It is possible to order direct from Boyd's. They send the stock and handguard as two seperate shipments, thus avoiding the dreaded "$100.00 rule".

I plan on getting one myself, just as soon as I find c. $130 I have no other use for...

I had heard that Boyds can be difficult to supply to dealers due to margins etc but I have had no problems as an individual apart from waiting!

The $100 rule is the only concern too, these are M1A stocks - they are not M14 stocks so they aren't on the controlled list. If you can't find one locally they are fine to bring in for yourself.

I ordered a pepper lam direct from Boyd's, I got the hand guard already and have been waiting 3 months for the stock. I called last week and a batch will be run for the M14 around the end of June so I am to expect the stock around mid-July. I really didn't mind the wait as I am still waiting for Marstar's next shipment of rifles.
