Of the Boyd's stocks, the Prairie Hunter is my favorite . Got a few on Vanguards and one on a M70.
By trigger reach do you mean LOP or grip shape? LOP seems to be about the same as factory. A bit too short for me, good for my kids and most people. The pad is thin and mostly non- functional as a Recoil pad. For me that's a good thing because a real pad gets the length up to correct. These days, with the raised import limit why not specify the pad and LOP you want? It's cheaper in the end.
Grip is relatively slender and open. Small hands and larger seem to adapt quite easily.

Prairie Hunter Is also my favourite, presently I have one on a Brno, the recoil pad option is a good value, I have been trying to shop their specials with our low dollar and their slight price increase they are not cheap, I think the raised comb should be close to the Vanguard synthetic but I am not sure, when I stocked my Vanguard the Prairie Hunter wasn't available, the Classic is to low for me, I also like the Featherweight thumbhole.

I love the fit and feel of the PH from Boyd's. I have one on my T3 300, feels beautiful in the hand when shooting. This is of course all subjective, what one likes another won't.
I put one on a Stevens 200 and it is a fantastic stock. It is, as stated before, not overly long in the LOP department, and the grip area is nice and slender for medium and small hands to grip easily and firmly. If you buy it and don't like it, I am sure you can sell it in 5 minutes.
Boyds website has always had its share of glitches. The Vanguard and the Vanguard S2 both take the same stock. You can phone them for peace of mind.
Once you eliminate the factory stock selections, the only real difference is the trigger, some hot melt glue and the different accuracy warranty.
