First of all, let me say I am far, far, from a good shooter (if you have reading suggestions for me
). But ever since I put that cheap SPS stock on one of my Rem 700, I havent been able to produce better than 2MOA with it, and I used to be at least be better then that (not to say I'm a regular sub-moa person).
Now this gun not being my main benchrest tool I don't want to put big $ on a new stock... Anyone successfully using one on a BR rifle? The forend looked pretty thin from the pictures.
Also, I don't think it would be my rest set-up as I think it's a pretty solid combo (Protektor doctor rear bag and Caldwell BR rest (with the little 3 part bag). Maybe the bedding? But it's bedded the same way I have done 3 other remington stocks including one I sold and the buyer was happy with it (shot better than me at even longer distance)
thanks for your help
