Ya i thought about that but I really don't want to refinish a brand new stock. My plan for now is to just get it 100 percent functional, glass bed it, float the barrel around the hump and shoot it. Maybe next winter when the boredom kicks in I'll look at it again. Luckily its kind of a safe queen and I haven't shot it in quite a while so I'm really in no hurry.When you are happy with the depth of the trigger guard you can get out your wood rasp and remove and reshape the excess wood on the bottom of the stock - so the trigger guard doesn't look so sunk in.
