has anybody had any experience with installing a boyds stock on a #4 enfield? I am thinking I want to get one to re stock a parker hale supreme#4.
here is a picture of the one I want, I believe the color is nutmeg. does anybody know where I can get one? can I order directly from boyds?
I have read somewhere that there is quite a bit of "fitting" involved, can anyone comment on this from experience? thanks

yes, order directly from boyds, they have increased the limit for sending items to canada up to 500$ so you are g2g. don't know about fitting but i bought an unfinished stock from them which was about 99% already fitted...was nearly drop in

Fitting on that 45acp conversion was fun. Boyds advertizes the stocks as "semi inletted", and well, that's pretty much what it is. Bedding the action is time consuming, but worth doing right. But man, did that little rifle look good. Makes me want to buy the same stock for my own 45 conversion!

I was on their site and didn't see a stock for the Lee Enfield, only for the P14-17's. Did I miss something, this looks good and their prices look even better.

they are listed under "british lee" they have them for #1mk 3, #4 mk1 and the even list a different one for #4mk2 as well as separate one for #5's, not sure why 5's would be different. anyhow I ordered one today for #4mk1 , total charge on my card will be $107us. not sure if I will get hit with duty when it arrives at my house.I will post some pics when it arrives and I put it together.

Thanks for the heads up on where the Lee's are located on the website. Looks nice and the price seems very reasonable.

a word of caution, I received my boyds order in the mail and was shocked to find only the rear piece! I guess you need to order the forestock separate.. another $92..
it will be close to $200 for the set when the dust settles now

I belive there is one of these stocks on ebay now just the stock though flippin through lee enfield stockson ebay saw one in there two days ago didnt have that grain though hope it helps...

well here it is $217 for the stock shipped to my door. it slipped right on but there is a pressure point somewhere around the trigger guard causing the trigger to be "1 stage" not two. some inletting will solve the issue and make it nice 2 stage again . I don't have the time or patience to do it right now plus I am going a different direction with my collection so I am offering it up for sale as is . I put it on the EE.
