Boyds stock on Mk II, cheek weld?

I was gonna order a Boyds stock for my Mk II G. How's the cheek weld on those? Do they require cheek pads and does the manufacturer carry them? Thanks in advance for the info, guys

Go to your local gunstore and try them out.
I went to Cabelas and had my wife try out all the different ones to figure out which one fit the best.
I tried them too and have to say the Evolution is probably my favorite.
If your gun has a wooden stock it is the same as the Boyds rimfire hunter.

im finding with the evolution and the lowest scope rings I am gonna have to build up the cheek area.

In a word. Perfect. Ive had the hunter and the evo on my past savages all were perfect for cheek.

I just picked up an Boyd's Evolution stock as well for my Mark 2-F. The cheek weld is damn near perfect with a low rings and a scope with 40" objective bell.

I love mine, didn't need to do anything to it. Perfect right out of the box. All the people that have shot mine say the stock is great and fits perfect.

Only thing that is a issue is you have to drill the stock if you want to run a bi-pod on it.
