Was going to order a couple stocks from Boyds for my browning x bolts. Just hoping to get some experience with fit before buying one that don't fit propperly. Scope will be in high mounts so I was wondering if the monte carlo style on the Prairie hunter wound cause scope to eye being off. The original stalker plastic stock seems to fit fine. Any advice would be appreciated.

I like the Prairie Hunter ergonomics, and have found it comfortable with any standard scope height.

I like the look of the classic , but after using both , I've found the prairie hunter fits me much better . I think it's down to facial structure and body build . A good friend of mine is heavier built than me and finds the classic a lot more comfortable to shoot . If you can , maybe try shouldering both and see which fits you better .

For more comparison the wrist and palm-swell on the Prairie Hunter is thinner than this original classic Browning A-bolt 2 stock. The Browning X-bolt wood stocked rifles I own have a very thick palm-swell which I prefer, and might be lost with a Boyd's stock.
