Boyds Stock upgrade for Savage

Seeing that its a 300wm I wouldn't think the small bit of added weight of a laminated stock would not be a hinderince.the added weight will hell to soak up recoil and probly make it a nicer shooting rifle.I have a 200 Stevens 270win and went with the FT thumbhole laminated it made it a much nicer shooting rifle .I find the recoil more controled and the carriablity uneffected.

I dropped my Savage 110 in .30-06 into a Boyds JRS nutmeg laminate a few years ago. I love it. Looks a lot better than the non-walnut stock the gun came with. The stock is heavier though. For me, it fit like a glove. No fitting necessary. My barrel is thinner, too, but that's the standard 110 barrel.
