Tomorrow will be the 4 week mark since I ordered mine, and while the site said 3-4 weeks...you know, I was cautiously optimistic.

Anyhow, I just spoke with them and they said "they hope" to be shipping it NEXT week, which will likely mean approx. 6 weeks from time of order to time of delivery. Just a heads-up in case you're planning on ordering a Boyd's. Hope it's worth the wait! :)

I've ordered 1/2 dozen stocks from Boyds.
The most it every took was 3 weeks.
What did they say was the hold-up with shipping yours????

I placed my order for a LE Rimfire Target Hunter on 2/24/12 ... and I got it yesterday.

Also depends on wither or not the stock was in stock, or maybe the last one was bought before you hit the confirm order button.

It was listed as "out of stock/ships in 3-4 weeks" Unfortunate that "3-4" actually meant about 5+ in my case. My Savage metal parts have been hanging around for almost 3 weeks waiting! :)

I called them once last week, once this week. Today, learning that next week is a maybe.

I ordered a tacticool for my savage when the website said "out of stock". 5 days later I had an email with shipping info. 7 days after that I had the stock on my rifle. I was really happy that it only took less than two weeks to get to my door, when I was fully expecting to wait 3-5 weeks. I have heard the same thing from other CGN members, some even saying it was shipped the next day. I think Boyd's spends more time making the stocks than updating their website with current inventory.

I order two M14 stocks, two separate orders about a month apart, both at my door in 4days or less.

10 days for mine for the savage 93, was shipped the next day

Yeah, mine is for my 93FV. Popular color maybe..?

Anyhow, the delay was expected...just a week or so longer than I'd hoped is all. Kind of deflates the "new gun stuff" high you get when order. v:confused:

Mine was for a 93FV-SS ... and in Pepper Laminate. I score mine the same day they updated the website. One moment everything was sold out, a refresh later they had 3 Limited Runs on the website. Same as the RTH but with vent holes in the barrel channel ... had to buy one.

The place is pretty popular and sells out of stock regularly. I wouldn't be mad at them for the wait; they said up to four weeks to ship.

There's a fair bit of work to be done to a stock to get it from block of wood to finished, inlet rifle furniture. Would you really want a piece that was hurried just to sate your inner 3-year-old 'I want it now!' instinct?

Boyds is good people. Patience, grasshopper.

My inner 3 year old.... Yeah.

Not sure I should have started this thread, I wasn't as frustrated BEFORE reading all these reports of how fast you all got yours! :) Seriously though, reports like that are what made me choose Boyd's but as of tomorrow, it'll be the 1-month mark with nothing shipped. Maybe all these ended-up on those $299 HMRs Cabelas had on sale?!? :D

Well if you haven't gotten your shipping notification, and you aren't to picky about the color of your stock ... Boyds still have a Applejack Laminate in stock. It's the same Limited Run like the one I bought with cooling vents. You can always ask for a substitute if you really want the stock on your door step .. lol :D

When I got mine they were $99.99 ... they are now $84 on sale.

And you can always refinish or repaint it if you want ;)

I've had a backorder take 3-4 weeks to ship. My last backorder shipped the next day. The last crazydeal got to my upstate NY mail drop in 4 days. If you're close to the border, shipping a stock in the US costs about $14 and may be worth a bit of a drive.

I've ordered dozens of stocks from Boyd's, the standard delivery is 10-20 days, depending on hold-ups with customs... the longest I waited was for the American Plainsman stocks for my Rem 870's, they were back ordered for 4 weeks, but once they were shipped they arrived in 9 days... missed Christmas morning though... :(

Boyd's is a really good company and they bend over backward to accomodate their customers. I have been a happy customer for many years.

Update~called Boyd's today, March.13...asked when my stock (ordered Feb.10) would ship. They said they hoped to "kick out all the back orders this week". I asked if my stock order has taken longer to fill than any order they've ever taken, the woman's reply was; "it just might be". They've been nice enough on the phone, and I'm sure the stock will be great, just a shame to have such a crappy turn-around when it's the first time I've done business with them. Based on what you've all said though, sounds like this kind of slow service is the exception, not the rule.

Although it does suck to wait for your stock (I would be frustrated), for a company as busy as Boyds I think they do fairly well to have a stock made and shipped in 4 weeks. You can often wait in the order of months for others makes (McM, Manners, etc). That being said, I had my stock in hand in 2 weeks though the website said back-ordered. I think you are right though, you are just unfortunate to be the exception, not the rule.

Several years ago, I ordered a dessert laminate from Elk Ridge. Took almost 7 months!! That wait was hard on the constitution! My last Boyds evolution was 11 business days. It was in stock.
