Boyd's stocks???

Is there a dealer for boyds stocks or another brand of after market thumb hole stocks for savage firearms. In sask??? Will consider anything just want some info thanks guys.
 
Boyd's can be imported with no issue.Usually receive product within 7 days and you won't be finding a better price anywhere.As for cheaper alternative there isn't much that beats Boyd's. I have purchased a few from them.

US laws prevent the export of firearms parts in excess of $100USD without a pile of ridiculous permits. Thusly, boyds cannot ship an order of greater than $100 (before tax/shipping) to canada. If you want multiple stocks you have to make multiple orders and pay separate shipping on all of them.
 
Most of their stocks are less than a $100, I have ordered direct from them at different times a "Blaster" for a 10-22, 2 "featherweight thumb-holes" [Ruger, Weatherby Vanguard], a "Prairie Hunter" for a Savage and a "Classic" for a Ruger. With shipping they are about $140, I have been very happy with everything about dealing with them. I ordered one stock from Richards microfit they have greater selection and price, I was very unhappy with everything about dealing with them [they are shipped unfinished so the $100 limit does not apply] and they lied about everything from delivery time to fit.
 
I'd never deal with Richards's Microfit ever again. One of the worst mail order experiences I've ever had.

That limit is moving to $500, which will be a very nice change and will simplify buying several stocks at once without getting raped on shipping.

Even with shipping and on these stocks it is hardly getting "raped".

Shop on-line, pick the finished stock you want, pay on-line , go to your door to receive package, install new stock.

I think that is a pretty good deal for the $142.00 I pay for these stocks which now drop right in.

Boyd's has a good thing going and it befits the customer also.

For the price they are excellent stocks. I really like my featherweight thumbhole pepper laminate that I put on my Rem 700 SPS DM. I had to inlet it for the magazine, and I bedded it as well. $140 well spent.

What I meant was that paying for single shipping multiple times is much more expensive than shipping multiple stocks in one box, not that their shipping charges are excessive.

I have bought from them in the past and will do so again in the future and I echo the multiple comments about the quality of their product and customer service.

If they offered some target stock options similar to a MacMillan A5 and were willing to do semi-custom orders, they would get even more money from me. I tried to get them to do a Tacticool stock in one of the colourful laminates instead of the bedliner finish and they said no custom stuff at this time. Too bad...:(

I just ordered a new thumbhole stock from Boyds. Got it in 8 days and thats with it taking 3 days to clear customs. Didn't get charged any duty or taxes by customs either which was a pleasant surprise. It's a real nice looking stock and it fit my action really well. I'll be dealing with them again in the future for sure. ;)
 
As long as its under $100 BEFORE tax and shipping order form boyds. I got mine in 8 or so days. Funny thing is it goest through ontario which adds a few days when it could just come straight up to Sk.
 
Boyds is after me to get an export permit now, I guess after ordering six one right after the other I made it onto their radar screen. There are some advantages, the $100 limit doesn't matter any more which opens up the selection to include the walnut stocks, checkering options and installed recoil pads.
 
I bought two and they are awesome,one took ten days to get to me and the other tok about three weeks because it wasnt in stock,AWEME PEOPLE to deal with,and was only about 150 BUCKS AT MY DOOR.
