boys anti tank training film !!!!!

Me also on the denied access....what's the key?

Just a side comment on the BOYS rifle. I needed a metal container for a second range box so was looking for a 303 ammo tin when I came across a "BOYS RIFLE" ammo container...Canadian marked. A bit of history to add to the ambiance. Dave

There is no "E" in BOYS.....

Just a comment. Mistake made by many including some in the military. Nice article in the American Rifleman magazine a couple months ago. I wonder how many rifles the Cdn. military had in total?

The cover of copies of the 1937 maual for this rifle had "Boyes" on it. Problem is, noone is sure whether the manals are exact copies, or someones "fantasy".

I have used the E in there for years, and am only now getting used to not putting it there.

I have fired numerous .55 cal rounds through my first Boys, and now have a Boys in .50 cal. They are a real adrenaline rush to operate. Best for the heavy guys though, the little guys would get pushed around by them.

I have that training film on DVD - Of all the possible places for it to appear, it was in a collection of of Walt Disney's "The War Years" productions that I was given as a gift a few years ago... Apparently, even though Disney now have some really phucked up ideas of revisionist history, during WWII they actually made a lot of training and morale boosting cartoons and live action shorts.

Thanks for the working link, Sten. The Disney training films really should be seen by every one. I had no idea that there was a working relationship between DND and Disney. Great footage of the Boys rifle being fired as a repeater...
