I have a big wrench marked

Boys Rifle Mk 1* FW

I'm thinking its for taking down the Boys anti-tank rifle. Anyone know about this wrench? Any ideas about what it might be worth?

Awwwww, he's making it real tough to stay in this arms race...

I missed out, a lot of years ago on a Long Branch Boyes. It had an additional 50 barrel, fitted along with the original 55 barrel. I think the mag was also cut/fitted for the 50 round as well.

Kickin' myself every since. Stupid is as stupid does. What do I need that for??????? I think that's the last time I ever said it, and actually meant it to prevent me from buying something.

Interesting point on the wrench...notice there is no "E" in Boys. The use of the name "Boyes" with regard to these rifles is reputedly a mistake. There is even a reprint of the manual that has that name on the cover.
I knew that, but thought I'd keep it in for easy reference. I heard the E was added by American troops and it continued to be used. Or so the tale goes.

Either way, when it's time for you to sell, I hope I'm on the fan out list.

I made the mistake of selling my first Boys rifle. You may have seen it at the Calgary gun show about 8 years back. It had the 50 conversion, and the original 55 cal barrel was with it.

I do not plan on repeating that mistake. Besides, I have the mountings for my Bren carrier specifically for the Boys rifle, so it MUST stay.
