A friend of mine just loaned me his Dixie Gun Works catalog. All I can say is wow..

I understand that Dixie won't send many of their items direct, that they need to come in through an importer if at all.

Anyhow, my question is this. Are there any dealers specializing in BP arms and accessories here in Canada? Specifically interested in reproduction period items like the Brown Bess, and Civil War era long guns.
 
Further to my inquiry, I appreciate the PMs sent me as suggestions where to look. Will Dixie send stuff north of the border, does anyone have experience in this?

Also, out of the makers of repro BP long guns, who makes quality items, who should I shy away from? Suggestions?

I bought some BP accessories from Dixie - flask, measure, nipple wrench etc for my BP revolver. I would have bought them in Canada but NOBODY had anything I needed in stock at the time.

Reasonable shipping cost, very quick. I'm sure there are some things they could not ship.
 
John Edward Adams in Nanaimo BC, has everything known to man in BP supplies. He is a home business, and doesn't have a website. All of his supplies are top quality. He makes brass short starters, brass range rods, has springs, screws, nipples, jaggers, swabs, if he doesn't have it, they don't make it.

I have dealt with them for years....ordered various gun parts, particularly vernier sights, with no problem at all in shipping...
