could anyone point me to some one that could turn a breach plug out of a Browning Mountain rifle install it on a new GM barrel. I bought a Browning mountain Rifle and the guy who had it cut the barrel back to 24" I would like the the dove tail slots cut and the under rib installed.

Have you looked to see if there is a drop in barrel available?

I'm not sure about the Browning but I know that its pretty easy to find them for T/C's and Lyman's.

as you are in winnipeg you might want to talk to rick kalinchuk (?) at Kal Tool & Die.
why anyone would chop off a browning mountain rifle is beyond me.
my guess is he short started the ball and bulged the barrel end.

try to reuse the breech plug, they are good ones cuz they have a deep V towards the fire hole.
you need a special cleaning jag to get to the bottom of it.

i think i have a couple lying around for a 50 & a 54. i had a 50 browning but got stupid & sold it.
very accurate.
