BP ONLY

I shoot almost everything except when it comes to BP, then it is loose powder and round ball.
Been that way since I started BP in '77, and don't plan to change any time soon!

As you know I've been into BP since I was a teen. The last 2 years I've hunted exclusively BP and last year my first with an in-line. I plan the same this year. With my bow and BP I get almost a month and a bit of undisturbed hunting before regular rifle season. In my opinion BP makes you a more attentive and better hunter........one shot......make it a good one!

Goex BP and Flint with a patched ball or Lubed Lee .50 R.E.A.L.

Lagered in Bore Butter or my own Beeswax/Lard/Lanolin mix. Fouling isn't an issue.

I like the Smell of BP. :D

I hunt with all kinds of stuff, but enjoy the BP rifles the most and hunt partridge with nothing but BP muzzle loading shotguns, or original cartridge guns and brass cartridges.
Just got a Snider and will shoot a White tail this year with it....

I'll take a black powder rifle out from time to time during the general season, sort of "when the mood stikes me", although the beginning of the elk season belongs to my .338 Win Mag or .35 Whelen.

The down-side here (in Alberta) is that we don't have a dedicated "muzzle loader" season. If we did, I have no doubt that the flint and cap lock rifles would get more time out in the field. 8)
