OK well as some off you know I was looking for a flinter awhile back and I still havnt been able to find one. anyway my father is going down to Vancouver in a week and was wondering if anyone could recomend some stores that might sell flintlocks either new or used. and also stores that sell BP.

imi not sure if the model of gun matters in this but what type of powder will I need for a flinter? do I need diffrent type for the pan?

also since im having no luck finding anything on the used market how is the lyman trade rifle? good? Bad? got a review of it?

Thanks
Kyle

Last question first; I use 3F both for the main charge and the prime; sae the fuss of carrying a separate horm or charger. The Lyman is probably a reasonable gun for a production run gun.
Why don't you contact Taylor Sapergia; while the guns he makes are high end and excellent guns, he probably also knows of the best source of powder in your area as well as may know of some second hand guns you can afford

there is no powder here. it's all dried up and it can't be shipped. it comes in every know and then when one of the shop owners around town drive down to Vancouver themselves.

Down here, a number of people will get together and put in an order for 100 lbs or so from McLeod's Blasting in Victoria. Have one or two designated drivers bring it to a distribution point and divy it up. There are some limitations; you are not supposed to carry more than 65 lbs (I think) without a placard and you should distribute it to its purchasers within a day or so of reaching in your case Prince George. Getting a big enough order to be practical may mean canvassing shooters from more than one club/community.
Raises the question of ---- have you checked with the Prince George club about bulk purchases and so forth?
