So here's the problem with this BPS. When the slide release button is pressed it pumps as it should. Dry fire the gun, and try to pump and let's hope you're a regular at the gym. It becomes almost impossible to cycle. The colder it gets the harder it is to do. Doesn't matter what size or type of shells are used in it either. The problem occurs loaded or dry fired. Any help would be appreciated. The chamber has been cleaned with a brass brush as we thought this was the problem but no luck....it was worth a try but it won't cycle smoothly even when dry fired.

Pop the trigger group pins out and remove the trigger group. Check if the hammer has clearance or if something foreign is in there. The unit drops out very easily and you don't have to be a surgeon to reassemble it all. Once the trigger group is out you can carry on to remove the bolt etc. Remove all old grease and lube and any grit trapped anywhere. Reassemble and lube. Let us know how it works. Skoalbandit got it right-on. I experience the same symptoms with my BPS by the end of the season. A complete disassembly and cleaning job brings it back to normal.
I use to avoid the hard work and just remove the trigger group and spray the rest of the action with Gun Scrubber. It worked but evetually all the minute particles would be pushed into all the crevices making it worse with time. Now, I take the extra 1/2 hour to do things right. I still use the GS spray to clean the trigger group , not too ambitious to take that time vampire apart...

actually it sounds like it was disassembled and not reassembled correctly. I had this happen once when I cleaned mine. The two slide pins (not sure what they are called) are in backwards or something like that. You'll just need to drop the pins and line everything up again.
