I got some BragGear 7.62x39 from Wholesale Sports in Saskatoon the other day and can not find any info on it. Im just curious to know if it is corrosive or not. There is no indication on the box and Wholesale has no info on the product either. Has anyone herd of it or have any info on it.
Thanks in advance!

Hmmm. I'm going to guess corrosive given the packaging and look. Not the cheapest bulk 7.62x39 at 27 cents a round but not bad.

Edit: 711 is a Russian State Ammunition marking for the Factory at Podolsk. The 79 is the year stamp.

I assumed it would be corrosive since it is surplus, I am fairly new to this so i thought i would ask. As for surplus ammo yes i agree over priced, but compared to the Barnaul non corrosive that i usually use at $9.99 for 20 rounds i didn't think it was all that bad.

It's about 10 cents a round too pricey.

Is it just me or has Russian stuff not been common lately? Usually Romanian and (was) Chinese stuff lately I thought. Occasional Czech on clips.
There's lots of everything around at various site sponsors. Budget Shooter Supply has crates of Czech for $225 with free shipping - $0.1875/round before tax.

They also have the same surplus Russian ammo for $262/1400 or $0.1871/round before tax. No word on free shipping with that one though.

There is some available for 210$ for 1440 if you know what your doing wich is about 1.46$ for 10. Tradeex has good deals to.
But yeah op if its not in a legit looking box and costs less the 8$ for 20 its most likely corrosive surplus.
