Brake Threading

I have a barrel that measures .820" OD at muzzle in 7mm. Does anyone foresee an issue with threading this to 1/2"-28 for a brake? Or is there a recommended minimum?

Nope , but

1/2-28 is more of the black rifle thread pitch

5/8-24 is the standard centre fire rifle thread

So unless your threading for a specific flash hider /brake. You may be limiting your self on choices

1/2x28TPI brakes/muzzle devices usually have a .270 exit hole, which is smaller than 7mm, potentially making it unsafe to fire...

with a 7mm bullet, it would be unsafe flat out. Hopefully there are no gunsmiths out there that would miss this concept....
