Hi there, I don't usually post.... just lurk, but I just got a care package from Robertson Composites which contained \
A Barnard Action 50 BMG 34 inch true flight barrel (about an inch thick at the muzzle). I just put my nightforce NXS on top of it. (5.5-22) Robertson sure makes a beautiful stock, (I got desert camo!!) The integral muzzle brake at the end adds about another six inches to the overall length...It is so big it looks like a cartoon, looks like a flag should pop out of the end and go "bang"
Anyway I am going to the garage to start reloading shortly and I don't even want to think what I have into this thing between scope, rings, rifle reloading press, components and a $600 aluminum custom case but I know it is on the wrong side of $10 000.
In the end I probably would have never set foot down this trail at all but about a year ago I put a deposit down on it and from that point I was kind of committed..Unwrapping this thing felt like Christmas morning.
Anyway I haven't fired it yet but it sure is pretty. We are going to be labelling some gongs with it this weekend, nothing that is precision in the true sense of the word but....should be spectacular!!
