Well my CORE15 finally came in through Wanstalls. Thanks Gary. Unfortunately, and Gary warned me about this, there was a problem. Customs took my stock apart and did not put the buffer tube back correctly:confused:. So the detent, spring and buffer spring were all loose inside the case. After a quick trip to a gunsmith the buffer tube was turned in far enough to capture the detent. Off to the range!!!
90 rounds of .223 American Eagle 55gr. and not one problem. Got the rifle sighted in both MBUS and Strikefire at 25m. At 7m the sight offset issue really shows itself. Also bought a castle nut wrench and magazine vice block just in case. Here are the photos, hope they work, first time posting with photos. (The sling is Spec Ops brand from Brownells and the Strikefire is from DS Tactical) The target was from 25m using MBUS..

Yup. Nice matte finish that cleans up nice. Chrome lined barrel and BCG (well staked). The BCG is tightly fitted to the receiver and with Slipstream grease on the rails it has a 'suction' fit. Upper to lower fit is good with a small bit of movement. (way better than any Norc I have personally seen) Trigger is actually very good with a pronounced sharp reset. The MagPul mag is a little tight so far and does not drop free yet, although it is starting to loosen up. The charging handle has an oversized release lever. It even came with a custom CORE made skeletonized trigger guard.

So, the sole importer and distributor of these guns sent you a rifle that they knew was not right, and then you had to take it to a gunsmith to fix it?

There's no excuse for that at all.

??????
Do you expect them to test fire every gun they bring in?

Not sure any company does that........

He found out after mine was shipped. I should have said loose inside the receiver and not case. You would have had to open up the rifle to see it. All remaining were checked and any more with that issue were fixed. This was a pallet order, not a dozen rifles. He did call and give me a heads up before I got it, which was nice. I went to a gunsmith because I did not have the $15 wrench at the time, I do now.

If they know the gun has a problem before they ship they have a duty to make it right before shipping.

What does "test firing" have to do with what the OP said happened?

The entire shipment had that problem and yours went out early?

as they say, #### happens,
no one checks every part of every rifle, especially ones going out by the pallet

glad you like your rifle, how much are cores?

The fit and finish on mine is fantastic. Upper and lower were obviously made for each other, zero play whatsoever. Trigger is nicer than anticipated as well - not super light, at right around 6 lbs, but not gritty - very smooth.

Mine's a basic/gas model, under $1100.

hey Redhouse, you should send the pic of your "properly staked" BCG to NEA so they can see how it's done. If I'm not mistaken, the core is around the same price point isn't it?

Hey Redhouse stay out of my gun safe!!! LOL. That is exactly how all my stuff looks, even the 2 little wear marks on top of the charging handle!!
